HK GIANTS vs Yong Ngai

After a convincing first win, we were back on the pitch this Saturday 2nd of November in order to show that this was not a mistake. Playing the team ranked last in the league was a trap, as we might play easy and make mistakes.

Warm up and motivational speech, we were starting in defense. As expected, the first minutes were quite messy, with us defending tough but lacking of focus for a few seconds and give our opponents the chance to score. Our attack not being very successful, the first 20 minutes were a long show of failed shoots from both parts. Yong Ngai taking a time out at 5-5, probably in order to rest their players, we pushed everyone to play hard and strong and stop taking it easy.
Thankfully, the whole team heard that call and passing the 2nd gear, we scored a 8-1 in the last 10 minutes to reach the half time on the score of 13-6.

Second half started quite like the first one, with some miss and easy plays. A few mistakes and fancy miss shoots didn't allow us to increase the gap and until the 14th minutes, the difference was still of 8 goals.
But with Yong Ngai starting to feel tired and without substitutions, we finally increased that goals difference to 10 goals at 20 minutes in the second half.
The last 10 minutes showed a strong defense, that we should put up at every games, leaving our opponents not scoring even one goal.
The final whistle blew and a large second victory for us 27-12.

Besides the large score, not all was good. A few mistakes and fancy things that would put us in a dangerous situation against better team, and we must make sure that we don't give away chances to score easy goals.

Our keeper Jake made a wonderful game despite being tired of playing University game one hour before. Florian, best scorer of the game with 5 goals and a strong flu, Jack, who organized the attack very well and helped every players to score a few goals.
To be noted that it is probably the first game ever played that no Giants took a 2 minutes!

We need to keep practicing and keep this good momentum. Our 2 coming games are also must win if we want to feel safer and see the return games more relax.

Hope to see everyone at the trainings and see you next week for another, hopefully, win report.
